Abstract
In order to understand the color diversity and pigment components of the bracts of Curcuma alismatifolia, the pigment components of the upper and lower bracts of four kinds of Curcuma alismatifolia with different color performance were analyzed. The pigment compositions in different bracts of four kinds of Curcuma alismatifolia were analyzed by using the color reaction, feature color reaction of flavonoid compounds and UV-visible spectrum scanning. The results showed that the pigments contained in the upper bracts of Honghuoju and Jinluanhong were mainly flavonoids and anthocyanins; the pigments contained in the lower bracts of Honghuoju and the upper bracts of Duodong were mainly dihydroflavone (alcohol) and anthocyanin; the pigments contained in the lower bracts of Duodong and Jinluanhong were mainly isoflavones, anthocyanins and chlorophyllin. The above results suggested that there were obvious differences in the pigment components of different color-series bracts of Curcuma alismatifolia. The main pigment components of red-series bracts were anthocyanins and other flavonoid compounds. The main chromogenic pigment in the yellow-green and mixed color bracts were flavonoids and chlorophyll.
