Correlation Analysis of Cadmium Content in Six Crops and the Soil Cadmium Content in a County of Fujian Province

    • Through the detection of cadmium content in 6 common crops and the soil cadmium content in a county of Fujian province, the correlation between the cadmium content in different crops and the cadmium content in soil was analyzed. The results showed that the enrichment capacity of six crops to cadmium was different. The enrichment capacity of different crops to soil cadmium was taro>rice>tea>kumquat>honey pomelo>navel orange. The results of the correlation analysis between six crops and soil cadmium showed that the cadmium content of taro, tea and rice was significantly positively correlated with the soil cadmium content, and the cadmium content of kumquat was significantly negatively correlated with the soil cadmium content, while the cadmium content of honey pomelo and navel orange was not significantly correlated with the soil cadmium content. Therefore, the crops with strong correlation with soil cadmium such as taro, tea and rice should be avoided being planted in the soil cadmium polluted area or the cultivated land at the critical value of cadmium pollution, while the navel orange, honey pomelo and kumquat could be planted, so as to reduce the accumulation of cadmium in crops, realize the safe utilization of cultivated land, and ensure the safety of agricultural products.
