Breeding of New Tomato Variety Baolu Fuqiang with Double Resistance to Powdery Fruit

Baolu Fuqiang was a first-generation pink tomato hybrid bred by crossing the selected high-quality female parent FT1618F and the selected male parent FT1602M in 2019. This variety belonged to the infinite growth type, with high plant height, medium maturity, green leaves, round fruit, and 4 ventricles. The weight of its single fruit was 260 g, showing the characteristics of high yield, high hardness, brilliant fruit color, and good commercial character. Baolu Fuqiang was resistant to tomato TY Virus, and extremely resistant to tomato chlorotic virus, with the soluble solid content of 4.68% . In the early spring of 2021−2022, the average yield in the regional experiment of large arch shed and heliogreenhouse in Shouguang, Zibo, Liaocheng and Heze of Shandong Province was 9878.53 kg·hm⁻², which was 10.40 % higher than that of the control group Xilaide. In the autumn of 2021, the average yield in the production experiments of solar greenhouse in Shouguang, Liaocheng of Shandong, Chifeng of Inner Mongolia and Wuzhong of Ningxia was 10400.83 kg·hm⁻², which was 10.18% higher than that of the control group Xilaide. The variety was suitable for being cultivated in early spring hothouse and greenhouses in early spring and autumn in East China, North China, Northwest China and Northeast China.
