Comparative Experiment of High-Quality Hybrid Rice Varieties in Guangze County

In order to select high-quality rice varieties suitable for promotion in Guangze County, the Guangze County Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs conducted a comparative experiment in 2022, using seven new high-quality rice varieties and Shenliangyou 5814（CK）as test subjects. The experiment evaluated various indicators such as growth period, agronomic traits, stress resistance, and yield. The results showed that Ming1 Youmingzhan, Yexiangyou 669, Yongyou 5526, and Qi2 You 2015, with yields of 10215 kg·hm⁻², 10155 kg·hm⁻², 9975 kg·hm⁻², and 9690 kg·hm⁻², respectively, increased by 16.2%, 15.5%, 13.4%, and 10.2% compared to Shenliangyou 5814（CK). These varieties exhibited advantages such as high and stable yield, disease and lodging resistance, moderate growth period, compact plant type, good coloration during ripening, and excellent rice quality. Their comprehensive agronomic traits were outstanding, fully adapting to the ecological climate and farming practices of Guangze County. They are suitable for large-scale promotion and planting as the leading medium-grain rice varieties in the region, helping to enhance the quality and efficiency of the local rice industry and steadily increase grain production capacity.
