Comparative test of new sweet corn varieties in Mingxi County

10 new sweet corn varieties were introduced and a comparative test was conducted with “Yuetian No.16” as control in 2013. Their yield, quality and agronomic traits were compared. The results showed that the yield increase of “Jinguan 218” reached the very significant level to compare with Yuetian No.16; “Jinguan 218” performed outstandingly in comprehensive characteristics, so it could be extended as candidate of major varieties.
