Investigation on smut disease occurrence in different Coix varieties

Smut occurrence condition of five local Coix varieties in Ninghua County were investigated in 2013, in order to screen the smut-resistant Coix varieties, which are suitable to plant in Ninghua. The results revealed that, the incidence of smut of Longyi No.1 was the lowest , the resistance to smut was strong, and the yield is higher , per 667 m² was 257.43 kg(3861.45 kg/hm²), suitable for planting in smut repeat region.
