Analysis of soil fertility in tobacco field of Shunchang County

Some indexes related to soil fertility, such as soil pH, organic matter, available N, available P and available K in tobacco field of Shunchang County were analyzed. The results showed that the pH value of the tobacco field soil was slightly low, contents of organic matter were abundant, contents of available nutrients were mainly at moderate levels, and contents of exchangeable calcium and magnesium were rich. Based on these status, it needs to apply lime, dolomite powder and alkaline fertilizers in productive practice for adjusting active acidity in soil, and when content of available N is above 150 mg/kg soil, we should take attention in P application and control N level.
