Comparative trial of Taiwan daylily varieties

Two daylily varieties introduced from Taiwan were comparatively tested in order to screen the daylily variety with good comprehensive traits, to accelerate the popularization of superior daylily varieties. The results showed that “Taidong 6” flowered early, and grew better at the early stage. “Gaoshan 1” flowered late, tolerated to drought, and performed better at the later stage. Both varieties were proved to be suitable to popularize in north area of Fujian with proper flower shape, blight gold color, and good taste.
