Trial on planting density and fertilization level of colored kidney bean varieties “Longyun1” and “Longyun2”

For studying the effect of yielding level of 2 colored kidney bean varieties and different agronomic measures on the total yield of colored kidney beans, the trial on planting density and fertilization level of colored kidney bean varieties “Longyun1” and “Longyun2” were carried out. The results showed that the yielding level of “Longyun1” was significantly higher than that of “Longyun2”; and the optimum agronomic practices included 35 cm plant spacing density, 1.2 m width of ridge with ditch, 2 rows per ridge, 2 seeds per hole and applying 15 kg/667 m² (225 kg/hm²) NPK compound-fertilizer as basic fertilization.
