Research on dynamic change of cultivated land and vegetable production in Xiamen

Based on the economic, social statistical and investigative data in 1996 to 2010 in Xiamen City, by using the correlation analysis method, the factors of cultivated land area, vegetables cultivation area, unit area yield of vegetables which caused variation of total vegetables production, were correlatively analyzed, and countermeasures and suggestions in improving production and self-sufficiency rate of vegetables were put forward, i.e. to establish more effective land protection measures, to strengthen the infrastructure construction of high standard vegetable base, to suitably adjust the vegetable planting structure, to optimize the layout of vegetable production area.
